Slunq will soon be releasing ‘Eel World‘, a five track EP of pointy rock-noise and their first new material since 2012’s Spoiled Portion album. The EP will be available on 1st May 2015 as a download (from all the usual places) and a very limited amount of CDs. There will be rejoicing and laughter and the ritual eating of dirt to celebrate the occasion.
If you are impatient and feel as though your skin could burst into flame what with all the itching, may we suggest you satiate this childish greed by downloading an exclusive work-in-progress video for the new Slunq song, Farming Experiment.
Eel World is the first of three new EPs to be released this year from Slunq, a band who own (and sometimes look at) a ceramic hand.
The new album from The Infinite Three, ‘Songs Of The Breather‘ is now complete and will be released on Monday 19th May on CD, download and limited edition cassette.
The Infinite Three play the Tooting Tram & Social on Wednesday 26th March, with an album launch show at Surya on Friday 30th May. This will be a joint launch party with Mr Fabrizio Modonese Palumbo, whose (r) project also has a new record on the way.
Other releases planned this year included the second album from Slunq; the debut recordings from Bent Husbands (a new duo featuring Maria Vellanz, formerly of Leisur Hive and myself) plus a cassette release from Sweetie.
A new album from The Infinite Three is on the way. The dissonant, noise rock trio of Daniel Knowler, Paul Middleton and Sam McLaughlin gathered in a large room in North East London last month and recorded the basic tracks live.
The record is taking shape gradually and sounds, according to the band, “like an obese, sexually infuriated sea lion”…
A single is due to be released in October with the album to follow. The current single, ‘Feathers’ (from last year’s Rattle Belly EP) is still available as a free download from www.theinfinitethreemusic.com
